Great thread to bring back to life after a 2 year absence.

Doh!

Mike Hill made this giant Frank for Monsterpalooza a few years back. I think it was about 5 or 6 feet tall:

And here's my Franken-Zombie from Death Studios:

FRANKENSTEIN455

Here are a couple of pictures of talented artist Dan Thompson's Boris Karloff Frankenstein 1931.  Dan has the uncanny ability to capture likenesses to perfection.  He said he will offer this new bust in resin and silicone.  I mentioned to him about possibly doing a collector's high end latex piece and he said it might be something he would consider in the future.  Thanx for checking out the photos.

That is awesome!  Do you think they will be painted or unpainted when released for sale?

Admittedly, the Rubies Frankenstein mask isn't in the same league as some of the others when it comes to quality or actor's likeness. But, hey, you could do a heck of a lot worse for $20!  :)

GREATEST...FRANKENESTEIN...MASK...EVER!!! From one end of the scale to the other. While I'm sure some people will disagree with me about this, that's how I feel about this House of Frankenstein version! Currently available from TOTS, and based on the Don Post original, it's UNCANNY how much this resembles Glenn Strange! But it's more than just capturing the actor's likeness, the sculpt perfectly embodies the very essence of the Monster, as a reanimated corpse. Finally, to me, Frankenstein's Monster will always be GREEN; therefore, I present my subtle repaint of the piece. Did I mention how much I love this mask?

I see you gilded his bolts, just in time for the holidays. 'Nice job, BRICK.

Wow/thanks for posting that amazing shot, Dr Terror. It's the exact same mask
used on the "Monster World" cover!

Here's one from ten years ago that I only just found out about this month!

This full-sized BRIDE MONSTER  was never advertised or even offered
as an edition to collectors. It may be one of only two castings ever made  >

Said to be the final mask project of Horror Sanctum Studios, the heavy
latex bust with sculpted base stands an impressive twenty-one inches tall  >

HSS often incorporated life casts into their sculptures. That may be
the case here as well since the likeness is so close  >

^ This old magazine from 1973 turned up at a collectibles show I attended
last weekend. Its cover story features Universal Studios Tour from the
days when they still used Don Post masks on their walkarounds >

I immediately recognized the DPS mask on that cover as identical to
one I scored in 1973. The two might even have been from the same
production batch!

This is going in my "Separated at Birth" file.
'Only wish I still had the mask itself ...
