Really diggin' that glow-in-the-dark skeleton on the right.  Any chance you could post a straight-on shot of it??  Go on -- give the ol' Collegeville try!

I have a boxed version of that "mike myers" clown.  It is from the early 90s, maybe 1991?  I was surprised that it was that recent.  How old is the one on the display hanger?  Is there an older version of the same mask?  When was that design introduced?

Extremely cool!  I still have vivid memories of shopping for Halloween costumes in Houston when I was a kid and the year there were the GIANT head costumes. I'm pretty sure my brother got the Alfred E. Neuman one! I know there were Hanna-Barbera ones with oversized heads/masks and have saved images from eBay. On a Google search I only see the normal Halloween costume. Anyone else remember the 'big head' one (and not this Mardi Gras' one I see online...but a similar approach).

The human mind is nothing but a gigantic library, with one helluva HORROR section!

Those are SWEET. I have a few complete costumes myself but to have the original cardboard hanger to boot is AWESOME. Good to see someone else likes clown stuff too.

The skeleton coctume looks fantastic.

The Creeper

Those are great!  I love them!
Long live the UMA!

Gasport

A totally eye-popping collection of sheer perfection! Conjures up a wave of sensory overload...the smell of fallen leaves, crisp, clean night air,  a treat bag bulging with sugary swag, and yes, even the smell of your own stale breath inside your Halloween mask...PURE MAGIC! Thanks for sharing!

I sure don't ever recall seeing CAPTAIN ACTION, FLY-MAN or DOCTOR SOLAR Halloween costumes in my town back in the day!

RICKH

Wow! I've never seen those before.  The Dr. Solar costume is very stylish, just like the comic's covers.
You can't kill the boogeyman.  Halloween (1978)

Bam! Wonderful.  Dr. Solar? I have never seen that particular costume.  Different and cool.

The next time I have a "bad day", I'm gonna go back and look at these costumes!!  :)  There's something so cheerful and warm about these memories. I need to somehow save the pictures so I can see them at a moment's notice- like smelling salts! curseofthewerewolf- I have never seen Flyman or Solar man!  Thanks for posting these!
I am soooo close to start searching around for a couple of these costumes to collect! The Gypsy costume is my personal favorite.

I definitely miss the days of going into KMART or Woolworth and my parents buying me those wonderful boxed costumes. Or should I say, Box 0' Funtastic.  The thought of owning something splendid from ones past, is exciting. Thank goodness as collectors WE, are able to do so.
