I am what you would call a Spiritual Neo-Pagan. One of my fave bands just for the feeling and sound alone is Enigma and greatly enjoy anything like them regardless of their faith background. A few months ago I found this band and love a lot of their stuff but there is one song they do that I just have to laugh at. Am I wrong? :o

GREAT!
Gregorian - Voyage, Voyage

Hmm , actually a bit funny if you think about it IMHO anyway.

Gregorian - Losing My Religion

The wifey looked at these and said " Forget they are velvet Monks ,close your eyes and just listen. Beautiful music no matter what.. 8)

W.L.-  While I don't speak or read French, I do enjoy the beauty of the language, and I guessed at a lot of what they were saying in the intro.  At first, I was excited because I was thinking that the little mini-movie was going in the direction of "the Magic Sword", with a group of knights rescuing the lady. But then when the knight rode his horse into the water, and no Cyclops, acid monster or tentacled beast attacked him, I realized it was over. But over all, it was an ok video- with dashing knights and lots of velvet and flowing hair. The music was very relaxing and I can see why they are popular. I have just recently started listening to "new age" music- starting last week- to see if I can stop acting all jittery and be a calmer person. I bought some Ray Lynch and some other artists that they play as "background music" at Epcot. I really like the Enigma music you posred before, I should also download some of their songs.  Losing my Religion was pretty cool!  Your wife is right-  The velvet monks do make some beautiful music. I'm gonna go look these guys up!  :)

Yes! A great tune by one of my favourite bands from the sixties. Another take on Still I'm Sad:

You're sure it wasn't this performance from Shindig:

Jeff Beck & The Yardbirds-Heart Full Of Soul "Live" 8/65 (With Shindig Dancers) (Rare)

I believe that was the performance included on a Yardbirds VHS tape that came out about 25 years ago.

Intersting! That's a different tape than the one I have! Do you have a picture of the cover of the one you saw?

I rented it from Blockbuster back in 92' on VHS.The version I saw was slightly different than the one on youtube. There was no comments by historians or Jane Relf.It was more or less released to coincide with their Hall of Fame induction.
I guess when they added the extra comments they had to cut back on the archival performances?

It's the added comments by Jane Relf and the historians that threw me off because that is indeed the tape I have as well.

Hepcat I think we should start a Yardbirds' thread  8) before we get labeled "Thread Hijackers" :-[

This thread had been dead for two years anyway so there's no harm done.
