This type of film has only produced a few examples of its' kind to date, however, they all seem to make money. Do you have a favorite of the ones listed above?
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Unknown Primate

I've only seen 4 of these, so I'll have to postpone my vote!  I will say, I thought Paranormal Activity 2 was more believable than the first one.

I really liked the first half of Cloverfield. At the time, it seemed pretty cool. I liked the fact that the fancy people got menaced by the "monster", and they didn't know what to do at all!

Of the "found footage" films I've seen, they've all been yawnfests. I thought the two Sci-Fi Channel mockumentaries on "Blair Witch 1&2" were better than the films themselves.

I really hate this genre!  And you forgot Cannibal Holocaust, the first film of its kind and The Last Broadcast which was released a year before Blair Witch; Not only was it released first but the film is incredibly similar even though the Blair Witch crew claims to have never seen it.

These are the only ones I've seen;
Cannibal Holocaust-An interesting flick, heavy on social commentary.  This technically isn't a full on "faux" reality flick as the "found footage" is played during the film.
The Last Broadcast-As I said, very much Blair Witch just with a search for the legendary Jersey Devil instead of a make believe witch.  As I recall you never get to see the "devil" in this either.
The Blair Witch Project-Highly overrated, felt really cheated when I left the theater.  Most of the hype, at the time, on this was only because of the "is it real" aspect.
Cloverfield-Pretty decent effort and at least they did spend some dough on some decent monsters/aliens.
Diary Of the Dead-Ummm...it's zombies!  Wins by default in my book!
The Last Exorcism-This one again was a huge let down, seemed like the filmmakers felt moviegoers would get that "Blairwitch" cheated feeling so they tacked on that ridiculous ending.

Really wanna see, Quarantine and I've had Paranormal Activity in my Netflix instant queue forever and just haven't watched it.  I don't really run out to watch "faux" reality flicks but I usually get around to them when I'm bored enough to watch black screens and shaky cams.

Gonna have to go 'None of the above', as I don't care for this type of film.

Two words:
TROLL HUNTER!
That might be the one. Been hearing a lot of good things about it.

I agree. The "documentary" shakey camera stuff uintsantly turns me off.
Supernatural, perhaps; baloney, perhaps not.

I was one of the two that voted for BWP. It' full of Halloween imagery. I agree the characters needed to slapped for their b****ing and crying, but I still liked it.

I really want to see The Troll Hunter.

PA was pretty cool. I really liked how it was used the unseen and no blood to produce scares.

As mentioned I still haven't seen Paranormal Activity but I doubt it will replace The Haunting (1963) as a movie that chills/scares without ever showing anything!

No doubt, The Haunting is a classic. But for the current crop of monsters, this beats out most of the countless remakes, Twilights and blood soaked killers.

I still haven't seen Cloverfield yet though. I will have to add to my list.
