aura of foreboding

I am going to go on record here as stating my firm conviction that those Americans who do not believe in the celebration of Halloween, no matter who they may be or where they reside, are missing out.   (Oh... and I don't much care for them either.)  ;D

I think it's ignorant to say my post is ignorant. I was stating how I felt. You know, I as in me, myself and I. If you don't fall into that group, why do you feel the need to defend them? I'm half Irish, and I've heard all the comments over the years about how much the Irish drink. I could care less, people can say whatever they want to. I don't drink, so it doesn't pertain to me. If it makes you happier, I can't stand the liberal Democrats who don't celebrate Halloween either.

JP

Oh, I wasn't defending anyone. I was just saying that there's nothing wrong with celebrating Halloween. I don't believe I ever said your post itself was ignorant, but then again, maybe I did. That wasn't the point I was trying to make, even if it did come off that way.

But, I concur with you, good doctor. Halloween is wonderful no matter your affiliations. THAT I'm sure we can agree on!  :D Only 183 more days!

Speaking of Halloween.....I have a really spotty memory, but I remember last year someone on the site was running a haunted house attraction up in North Ga., U.S.. I couldn't go last year because we scheduled too many things (including a Halloween party with lots of out of town guests), but this year we would LOVE to go if the person or persons is still involved with it. Please post the details when the date gets closer. I love this kind of stuff!!!(even though I might pass out from fear).

Hey Charp,

That was me! Talmadge Brothers Funeral Home and Casket Company is the name of our attraction.

We'll be there again this year if you feel like coming up. We've got some new stuff planned!

Thanks, Andy! We will be sure to schedule a trip to your haunted house in October 2K12! It sounds like a top notch haunted attraction. I am so happy to support other UMA members and I will let you know which weekend we will be going.  (^_^)

You don't necessarily get the best treats at haunted houses. I like to hit upper end townhouse developments to maximize my haul. That way I can quickly fill a pillow case with really good treats.

It Seems like Some Stores Have Already Put Halloween Stuff Up. I'm Already Getting Excited For Halloween This Year.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.
