But the big question is, where is the actual Frankenstein MONSTER, and when is he going to escape and cause havoc?

Answer:  Frozen in a block of ice and on display in some rinky-dink carnival sideshow.
Pretty sure a fire will break out and the resulting conflagration will set him free.  Any time now...

Danny, where are these wonderful pieces of movie history now?  I hope they have a good home. It must have been one of those "I can't believe I'm doing this" moments. I know it would have been for me...

Thanks for the pictures Dan!  Makes me wonder if there any pieces still intact somewhere of the Krell lab from Forbidden Planet, Exeter's spaceship interiors from This Island Earth, or Klatuu's saucer cabin from Day The Earth Stood Still.

I'm sorry Ray, but in light of National Security issues. I cannot comment on your post!

A few years ago we were blessed to have a chance to go to a wearhouse in Los Angeles to see the famed Strickfaden Equipment before it was moved to Vegas for a big auction.

This was probalbly 4 years ago.

Enjoy!

We have our pal, Brian Anthony to thank for the tour! Great guy and restoration genius!

The legend is that whenver Ken turned the equipment on in his Santa Monica garage all of the appliances in the neighborhood went whacky!

You guys aren't gonna believe this! This link just showed up on www.brassgoggles.com .... Small World!

I would love for that stuff to be in a museum. Where the common, unwashed masses (like me!) could  view them. I am guessing they are at Kirk Hammett's house, lol. I seem to have met that "moi" fella once at a convention. Tell him I said "hey".

Anyone have any info on how these pieces fared in the Vegas auction?
I could not get much info from the steampunk site, and seen another posting that the Strickfaden family
had plans for displaying these pieces as late as this summer...?

I watched a Youtube posting from 2007 from Entertainment Tonight w/ Leonard Maltin discussing Strickfaden, and his machines.
Footage of Ken's last live demo of his machines, and their (still active !) storage in Texas with his surviving assistant who wanted to sale them for
1 Million Dollars.

So Maybe Dr. Evil from Austin Powers bought them!
