Steve McQueen doesn't mean all that much to me, but I love those gun sets from the early sixties!

Well, it was Steve McQueen that made the "Mare's Laig" popular.   8)

Josh Randall played by McQueen in Wanted: Dead or Alive was the first to carry that kind of cut-down Winchester '92.  And what kid in the 60s didn't think McQueen was cool?
It was so cool-looking that several subsequent TV series featured it, includingThe Adventures of Brisco County Jr, The Magnificent Seven television series and most lately Firefly/Serenity.
And probably as a tribute Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) carried one in Zombieland 8)
Real versions are still being sold in calibers from .22LR up to .45 Long Colt

An awesome gun, couda' spurred the Italian western to come up with some of their crazy weaponry.

Here's another Daisy B-B Gun ad from the back covers of DC comics in the fall of 1962:

And here's one from the summer of 1967:

Found an old pic of my toy gun corner in my last home....

Hepcat

What a fabulous display of weaponry! No doubt about it; you need your own bachelor pad like Frankenstein73 has!

:)

Could you do a schematic diagram right below the picture though identifying the various guns?

???

No.......ha!

Now I'm confused! You don't want a separate pad for your toys or you don't want to identify the guns?

Here is some serious firepower! This is the 1961 Remco B 52 Ball Turret. Runs on 4 D batteries. I do believe this is the first time it has been out of the box. 53 years before seeing daylight...that's nuts! Very detailed toy. Has lots of dials and pointers...the twin machine gun barrels swivel.....red belt of bullets feels through the gun as you press the trigger....has oxygen and communication masks....does everything but fly!

Incredible! Absolutely incredible! The weaponry you keep unearthing is so seriously nuts that it leaves me in awe! I mean here I wasn't even consciously aware of the existence of the Remco B-52 Ball Turret and you have one that's never been removed from the box.

I've wondered for a number of years though whether the B-52s still in service these days continue to have the machine gun ball turrets. They're no longer clearly visible.

Yea Hep, I wouldn't think that any bomber would have machine gun turrets anymore.
