Seen most of these recently, but definitely up for THE GIANT BEHEMOTH.  Don't think I've seen this since I was 9 or 10!  I'll be watching it at 12:30 AM (EST).

Yay for Thursday! I don't think I've seen The Monster that Challenged the World before.  Got the DVR set.

Radioactive Rod Whitenack

"The Monster That Challenged the World" is awesome! Don't miss it! The monster is a full size, mechanical beastie that could wrestle with actors on the set. You just don't see that anymore.

FACTO2

An excellent night of Scifi classics.  The first 3 I have on DVD.  But, I've never seen The Phantom From 10,000 Leagues or Creature From the Haunted Sea.  Looking forward to catching them for the first time.   :)

I have never seen The Giant Behemoth! I am enjoying tonight's theme!!  :)  I had my autotune set on my tv for Jaws tonight at 10:00 on Encore, but I've changed my plans!  I heart TCM!

I'll assume you're familiar with their reputations as "so bad they're good" movies? (The 1st one maybe not so much of the "they're good" part.  ;) )

I always thought The Giant Behemoth was your life story.

Isn't "The Giant Behemoth" redundant? Like, "The Short Dwarf" or "The Filthy Scatter"?

I watched TCM last night, and 10 or 15 minutes into The Giant Behemoth storms killed our power.  I don't know which was louder then, me or the lightning.

Bill, the radioactive Giant Behemoth itself, is probably what brought on the storms!

Very much so.  Where's Joel and Bots when you need them.   :)

I thought the "Phantom From 10,000 Leagues" was a hoot.

It was made so cheaply that the Oceanographic Society boats were all rowboats - without outboard motors.  There were only 2 sets to speak of: The doctor's livingroom/bedroom and the doctor's office/lab.  Most of the rest of the movie took place outdoors. And most of that on the same small area of beach.

The doctor's livingroom was built so cheaply that the outside door opened out (instead of in) and had no latching hardware.  When it was closed, it could be heard to slap shut and even bounced a few times.

At the first glimpse of the "Phantom", I was surprised to see it had legs.

I could not watch "Creature From the Haunted Sea".

I can watch scary movies that fail to be frightening.  But I can't watch funny movies that have no sense of humor.  The harder they try to be funny, the more uncomfortable I get.

I look forward to next Thursday - the last.  I hope TCM will have had enough viewers to do something similar again in the future.
