Thanksgiving Day:

1. Quo Vadis 1951 (Blu-Ray). I was surprised when I first purchased this to see is presented in 1.33.1 aspect ratio or window boxed. Still, a beautiful restoration.

2. The Robe 1953. Great film and a beautiful score by Alfred Newman. Major inaccuracies, as the Romans never persecuted Christians under the reign of Caligula. The first persecution of Christians took place in Rome, not in Palestine under the reign of Nero, which was after the reign of Caligula and Claudius.

3. Demetrius and the Gladiators 1954. In this sequel to The Robe, there's more inaccuracies, but still a great cast and a wonderful Franz Waxman score.

It was shot in the Academy ratio. "The Robe" (1953) was the first CinemaScope feature.

All Night Long (1962) - awesome film. If you are a Patrick McGoohan fan, it's a must see.

I think I've seen it. Does it center around a jazz club?
