Humble?  He doesn't even know this thread is here.  Too much of a bigshot now for us I reckon.  Pah!

;D

Don't be too hard on Max.  Without a digestive system to process and expel all that booze, it pickled his head and made it swell to gigantic dimensions.  But I have a vintage pickle pressing machine that I will bring to Wonderfest.  if Max is there, I will press his head back down to a manageable size.  I'm thinking olive size.  But then someone might accidentally eat him, so maybe softball size would be better.  Then someone might mistake him for a grapefruit.  Cantaloupe size?  That should work.

Okay, so I'm embarrassed to say that, although I've known about the big news for some time, I just noticed this thread. Congrats, Max. I wish you all the best and may you bring good luck to both FM and TDSH.

Thank you to Bobby and everyone here for such kind words! Really, really nice and gratifying to read.  Hope to see y'all in person at Wonderfest, the Vincentennial or Monster Bash to say "thank you" in person! I'll buy you a drink!

raycastile

Ah, you're coming here for the Vincentennial?  Good.

Aw, screw Max. He bought his way in just like he always has. "Mr. Kim, I wanna write for Famous Monsters. Here's my first story and inside you'll find a crisp one hundred dollar bill. By the way, you look great today, Mr. Kim." Can you imagine how gross his keyboard must be when he uses his tongue to type those stories?

Sean

That's a good sign for FM.  I might actually start reading it again.

Raymond, I am looking forward to seeing you in the worst way. Which is how I do everything! (You, too, Bobby, if you're coming--and all UMAers!)

Sean, right now my involvement is writing for the website (did some articles and then was asked to move my blog there) and to be asked to contribute 3 articles to the first "special retro issue" of Famous Monsters #70, for which I was paid. (It is the first of 10 fantasy "faux Warren era" special issues that fill in the gap of  issues 70 through 79, which Jim Warren skipped over to get to blockbuster issues #100 sooner. I was not brought in for issue 71, but there are many people who want to write for FM, so maybe I'll get another turn before these special issues are all brought out. By the way, these old-school issues are only available for purchase online.

Hey Rod: Don't knock a successful business plan! Bribery can do wonders! ;)

Max, I think it's great.  Congrats to you!
