I think that Uncula should receive a posthumous promotion to at least Major ...  :(

Thank you so much for all your prayers, cards, well wishes & support for Don & I throughout this difficult time. Being part of the UMA family brought him so much joy & he truly cared for each one of you. He asked me several times to re-read his cards & letters while he was in the hospital. I had everthing displayed on his wall so he could look at them while he was there. He was truly amazed & touched that so many people cared for him.

Just checking in for the first time since last evening and see this very sad news. My condolences to all of Don's family and closest friends. R.I.P. Uncula!

Wow, this has been a busy week and I am just now getting the news.  Very shocking, terribly sad.  God bless him and the family, he will be missed here at the UMA.

Don's presence here touched us all and he will be sorely missed. It's good to know that the UMA family brought him happiness and made him feel that he had friends in far away places. That's something that this group of caring people has done over and over and will continue to do. Rest in Peace, Uncula.

I just saw this thread now and am so sad to hear this ! My deepest condolences and prayers to Uncula's family. :'(

Thanks Gary. You can really feel Don's absence around here. I miss all his funny quips. He wrote a cute little poem for me too. About two days before we knew of his passing, I had picked up a little Dracula figure I was going to send him. It's still sitting here on my desk. I just can't bring myself to do anything with it.

I third the request: can we give our dear Uncula some sort of special title?
