Looking through this thread makes me feel like a kid at Christmas!  I remember that first holiday season Aurora's Prehistoric Scenes were out; I had a bunch of those models on my Christmas list, resulting in a lot of "Jurassic Plastic" from my parents and grandparents that year!  (Missed out on a few that never got reissued by other companies over the years, such as the Tar Pit.  In fact, I think one of the cave people, saber-tooth tiger and woolly mammoth were the only mammal kits I got out of the lot.)

If I had to pick the two I liked the most, they'd be the Saber Toothed Tiger and the Hulk.

Thanks for the kind words guys!!!! And thanks Hepcat for picking out a couple of pieces that stood out to you. And for anyone else who may take a look at my photos, please feel free to give your input as well. I've won a couple of smaller model painting contests but I'm thinking of going to Wonderfest this year and entering a couple of kits. So if something stands out to you please let me know. Also, if you see something you don't like about the paint work please feel free to express your feelings as well. Like I said earlier, I love to paint kits. I'm always striving to better myself at the craft. So any input is always appreciated! Good or back; You can only learn how to make things better.

I am not a comic hero fan but you did an amazing job on them.  Spiderman is excellent.  The black and white renderings are also fantastic. Hard to point out a favorite, they are ALL very, very good.

Great work on those Prehistoric Scenes!  And a good paint job on Vampirella!!!  The sculpt on that kit could have been better, so how the finished piece comes across really depends on the paint job.

Aurora did a terrible job on the Vampirella sculpt, particularly in comparison to the monsters issued in the early sixties.



I suspect that a major reason behind the poor sculpt was that snap-together model kits by nature had to be cruder in order to snap together more easily.
