Hi,

Hope everyone is doing great and getting ready for a much needed Spring!!!!  Since the winter has been so horrible, and I find myself indoors more during that time.. I've finally taken my indoor time and learned two new computer programs to help me make more monsters..LOL.  ZBrush 4 and Maya. Below is a monster I created while learning these two programs, and I'm working on some of our favorite classic monsters right now.  I can't wait to finish digitally sculpting the old guys/gals. then texturing and painting them. I hope you enjoy this Fantasy Creature, and I'll post some classic monsters very soon! Have a great evening!!!

Oh, I wanted to add.. as I was struggling through this learning process with ZBrush 4 .... it was awesome to see Rick Baker win the Oscar for his work with The Wolfman.. He is a very accomplished ZBrush artist beside his amazing make-up body of work... Congrats Rick!!!!!

The Creeper

That really looks cool!  Do you have a name for him?
Long live the UMA!

Hey Creeper.... No name , but thanks for asking...:)

Very nice! Reminds me of a creature from Clive Barkers 'Nightbreed.'

I love the way "it" looks like it's from the future! I could imagine running into this creature and thinking that he probably has an interesting back story. Really cool job, artistguy.

Thanks guys! LLK, I totally see that....:) Scatter I know your love of digital monsters...LOL! Charp13, If I ran into this guy, I most likely would be "lunch"...:) The head here is made from about 2 mil polygons, the original mesh was around 512 or so. The sculpting, skin texture and paint app was applied right in Zbrush.  The very subtle skin color changes and veins can't be seen I should post a close-up.... I'm working on a Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Bride of Frank and hopefully will have some stuff to post soon. Thanks again and have a great night!

Adam, looks like all the time you put in learning the program was well spent.  Love the 3-d quality of the Digital, as well as the creatures groovy design. Nice work.

Thanks Creepy...very nice of you to say!  it certainly is a slow process but very rewarding... Here is another Zbrush 4 creature design from a few weeks ago, when I was deep into the learning process (I still have a lot more to learn)... This is "Zarah".. she's  Queen of  the Forbidden village.  Have a great weekend!

Ah, you fail to make the proper distinctions my friend...........I abhor poorly rendered all-CGI monsters ON SCREEN. I'd rather see a guy in a rubber suit than that any day of the week. But this kind of digital monster is pretty cool!
