Scatter, you kill me every time, LOL!  And, get this...  I DIDN'T EVEN USE A REFERENCE!!  KK's likeness is pretty much burned into my mind.  Actually, his jaw is lopsided, his brow's not thick enough, etc.  My daughter brought home a 5 lb. hunk of clay for me awhile back, so I guess I'm gonna attempt to try some more.

I especially like the yellow on his teeth! He's not flossing with vines often enough!

It's actually incredible.......I mean it. If you ever get busy with some Play-Doh and knock off another Kong, you got a customer.

Terry, as usual, another awesome cover!  It just amazes me.  And Artman, I, too, dig your style.  That's a great Bela!

Really nice!! man, I like your style! It looks so airbrushed, which I realize you can do with charcoal, but damn, that's a nice looking piece!!

Great job!

Terry - nice tribute cover. I think the only additonal things i would have incorporated into the montage would be the pixie from "One Glorious Day" and the cover from Amazing Stories that he always said jumped off the newsstand and said "Take me home, little boy, you are going to love me"...
DLH - another outstanding piece.
Artman - nice. The differences in the eyes, the slightly raised eyebrow, give the piece an arresting quality.

Whenever I have "drawer's block", I doodle clowns or monsters. Sometimes it becomes a mash-up between the two. This one started out being influenced by one of those toothy Malaysian masks.
Rough pencil sketch and finished piece. The original sketch is tiny compared to the finished work, BTW.
Title: Marbles
I'm bad about changing the titles on these things, but I usually try to keep it simple.

You guys are so extremely talented.  Terry, I think you just gave us a preview of a Rondo nominee from next years awards.

DLH -- you work is knockin' me out!  Love what you can do with the charcoal -- I only ever made a mess with the stuff.  I especially like this most recent piece -- reminds me a bit of Kim Deitch in the subject matter -- scary demon/clown creature.  I love it -- and it gives me the willies!  Have the Juxtapoz magazine people seen your work...?  Seems it'd be right up their alley.

Thanks to all for the kind words on my FJA tribute cover.  I did consider those other elements, Chris -- but the composition was getting crowded as is....
