Nightmares in plastic

Howdy UMA!

Had my personal countdown to Halloween since last week on Facebook, using some sketches that
fell through the gutter in the past years and jazzed them up a bit with Photoshop.
Not everybody is on FB, so on Halloween I want to share them with you guys here. Hope you like them!

thrhrt Thanks for looking! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 8j68j68ju

Love all of them! They would have made great trading card art in the 60s.

That's what I thought!  Your wife would really dig it, I bet.

They're all amazing, Nightmare!

They would make great trading card or mini-poster art today! Really, really cool art, NiP.

I've got stacks and stacks of old drawings, unfinished pencil sketches, Sharpie illustrations, etc.  I've got 'em stuffed in drawers, plastic bins and boxes.  Some of them, I'll keep forever.  Every so often, I'll go through a pile, pick out a few and just trash them.  Sometimes, friends will take a few off my hands (if they happen to be in town).  My wife says I should put them all in a scrapbook!  I don't wanna do that, though - well, maybe, 25% of the bunch.  They are kinda fun to peruse, every now and then, but they're just... there.  Filling up drawers and the bottoms of containers.

Seriously, does anyone else have this "problem"?  I've literally thrown out hundreds of these things.  I'd rather they go to a ghoul home than a garbage can.  What do you all suggest I do with them, seriously?  I don't have a lot of room and I'm constantly rearranging all of my stuff.  As you can guess, the drawings, black and white, color, pencils, a few chalks, etc. are mostly of BIGFOOT, VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, GIANT GORILLAS, NAKED WOMEN (ahh, just kiddin'  ;D), WEIRD CARTOONS, etc.

So, speak up, O' Mighty Peers - set me straight.  WWMKD?  What would Monster Kids do?

Thanks, gang!

UP, my wife calls me a controlled hoarder! I have drawings from the 60's on up to the present! I keep them in boxes in a closet and every now and then enjoy dragging them out and looking through them. Each one has a memory connected to it and it's my own private time machine! Then they go back to their hiding place. I also throw away a few every now and then, but honestly just like hanging on to them.

I do the same thing Mark and Illo. I have this huge old plastic portfolio bag from college that i have stuffed with all my sketchbooks, paintings and misc. artwork going back to the mid 80s when I was in high school. I like to look at the old stuff sometimes.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

RedKing, I still have this huge portfolio I used to lug back and forth to college, crammed with artwork from that time period. Then I have a smaller portfolio I used to lug around when I interviewed for art jobs in the early 80's.

U.P., I'll bet there's a ton of your cool artwork in there. Maybe you could organize them by general subject and have either a sale or if you just want to get rid of them have the winner pay shipping (reserve the werewolves and naked women ones for me -- that's right, we all know that the girlies are there!)

Seriously, guys - thanks.  That settles it - I'm gonna organize them and put some in binders.  Will still probably get rid of some (either trash or giveaways).  Good to know I'm not alone ;D!  I have some dating back to the mid-70's and indeed, they all represent a chapter from my life.  My Mom might still have one from when I was 3 or 4 years old.  She said I'd had a nightmare and I drew a picture of the many-eyed creature that haunted my slumber.

Again, thanks for your input!
