Mike- wonderful painting, and hey, there's no reason you couldn't be a fantasy paperback cover artist! You certainly have the talent for it.

Mike - my first thought was Gentle Giant!  I love that painting, man - you are the best!

A question, guys and ghouls- I'm doing more on the mummy. Do I need palm trees, or leave it all desert?

Thanks man! After 3 weeks of painting hands and light bulbs alone, I am glad to see this piece done for a number of reasons!  :D

What medium is this done in? What size is the original? it really is a nice piece!

creaturerevenge

It started as a sketch in my large size sketch pad, then once I got it blocked out I scanned it and it is a digital painting done in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. It is 30" x 40". A friend of mine does beautiful print work and he is going to do a run of these for me for the Mad Monster Party convention here in Charlotte.

Wish it was available at MONSTERPALOOZA in April. It's beautiful!

Unfortunately I wont be at Monsterpalooza this year :-( money and time are going to be tight for a little while. I'm up to my eyeballs in work and I'm getting married in September, so most of my time and money is going to that haha! I will, however, have some of these available slightly smaller as posters through my website. If anyone is interested in this one or either the Nosferatu or Caligari ones, please let me know and when I have the printer do the run of them I will pull some aside. You can private message me on the board here or e-mail me at creaturerevenge(*at*)aol.com. Glad you guys like it!

here is what i think is a better shot of my image of Bill Hinzman from the original Night Of The Living Dead 1968, this picture is of course taken by the camera, I find with a camera shot you can see more shading then with the scan.

scott_of_smeg

here is my latest project, still in progress. had some issues with the simplest components. had to got to bed and revisit this morning. can you recognize it?

thanks for looking
