Mrs Frankenstein

I got bored and colorized Henry Frankenstein :

The thought of a color version of Frankenstein makes me a bit sick but still I love color films from the 30s and I always wonder how these silver screen heroes would look in living color.

That looks great! Yeah, I'm not opposed to seeing colorized versions of the monsters if they were done right. I don't think I've seen a colorized film that didn't "look" colorized, as opposed to one that looked naturally colored.

Mrs Frankenstein

It didn't turn out too bad this one, the resolution is a bit low because it is a screencap.
The problem with colorized movies is that there is no depth in the colors and they tend to be to bright/pastel, very weird looking.
If the monster classics ever were to be colorized (and I assume they will be some day..) I hope they do it in a Tim Burton style, he uses a lot of blue filters and it creates this unreal look to the scenes but it still doesn't look too cartoony.
Actually, that might be pretty cool !
..as long as it doesn't go too far as in that Van Helsing film.
Wasn't the latest Wolfman a bit blue filter looking?

Mrs. Frankenstein, that is pretty cool ! How long did that take you to do something like that? Did you use photoshop?

Mrs Frankenstein

I'm not sure how long it takes, I do it little by little. Do some coloring, take a break..look at it again, tweak it a bit, break, do some more..made with love and photoshop  ;D

You have some cool skills, Mrs. Frankenstein  :)   I would love to be able to do stuff like that, even photoshop would be fun for me to learn!
Henry looks very handsome!

Part 2 of my cut outs... Happy Halloween!

StyreneDude

Cuts, all your work is absolutely astonishing, but this Wolfman is on a whole other level. The way you captured the shagginess of the fur is just unreal. I am in AWE of your talent.
I hope to see many more, including the Creature and Phantom.

Here's another:

I got the bug to do all 5 of the 'Classics' and spent a couple of weeks furiously going through a load of black, white and grey glass.
I'm always careful to wipe of the blood, but as we've always said "There's a little bit of us in every mosaic".

Inkfink- I just imploded from excitement!! These new paper crafts are INSANE!  I'm so glad I still have the cardstock loaded up- cuz it's printing time!
My husband always looks baffled when he goes to print out his airline tickets and there's no ink!  hahahaha!! I've been trying my hand at paper crafts at night when he's out of town ( I'm old) and I recently took 3 hours to do the Disney Hatbox Ghost paper model. This stuff is hard to do when you are not artistic- like me! I bought my first Exacto knife and new scissors, so I am ready for paper fun. My grandson IS artistic and he really enjoys coloring and designing monsters. He says he's planning on switching some of the heads around  :)   THANKS again for the Halloween fun, my friend!  I'll take some more pics of our models when we're done decorating.

Great job on Frankenstein, Doc!

I liked it, too.. I think I made him look rather melancholy.

Inkfink, I think 'Bad Jack' is my favorite, but they're all really cool!

Styrene, I think the Phantom will be next. I haven't quite got The Creature figured out yet. Don't know when I'll get to tackle Mr. Chaney, 'cos I'm really busy with other stuff right now, but soon....

Illoman

My latest, the Creature. I think this is the fifth or sixth time I've painted him, and hopefully the last!  ;D

Thanks Cuts! Your work makes me cringe thinking of all those sharp points!;)  Have you ever done anything like a mirror ball?
