My newest piece, work in progress. I want to poll UMA for this one..

This is my cyclops. I am going to add a necklace, and planned on using fake fur to give him different textures.. Beard, fur shoulder-ruffs. hair.

Does he need the fur... add the fur, or keep him like he is..

Whattya think?





You can see the unfinished necklace components at the base.. One is a skull, the other a greek helmet.

Primate: Whats the body made of?

I'm usually the Monster type, myself, but I delved into "Mad Scientist" (something I'm sure you're quite familiar with, Doc!) territory for my latest projects!  I dismembered the Hasbro MUMMY'S TOMB figure - cut off his head & hands and grafted them onto a more articulated 12" body (more about that, later).  The leftover torso & legs looked perfect for an EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN monster, which I always thought would be a cool figure to have.  So, here it is!

U.P., I love your "Kiwi Kreature"! I have a soft spot for him . . . scared the hell outta' me as a kid.

You've inspired me to start an "Evil of Frankenstein" illustration/t-shirt graphic.

I've started a bust of Medusa, but I tried a new clay and it dries too quickly... but it lends itself well to multi-textural stuff, so where the clay was too brittle to do well-sculpted snakes, I'm going to get some of those little rubber ones, and try something new.

G-F, thats great!  I love Herman, he always makes me smile.  I agree with you about The Evil of Frankenstein.  Saw it on NBC  when I was a kid and the monster scared the crap out of me.

lol.. I just glued on his pendants.. a skull and a battered spartan helmet.

Finished the first step on Medusa while the fur is shipped to me.

I plan on using rubber snakes for the hair. This clay dries too fast to make proper snakes, but it works well with other media.
