A lot of really talented people on here! Very impressive everyone!

Art is how I make my living, Here is some of what I do:

This is the sort of painting I have in galleries, it's called "Getting Drunk In The Woods"

Most of what I do is Halloween related, this is a larger oil

this is a small postcard sized painting. I try to have at least two of these up a month on ebay

I also make limited editions, this is an image of the most recent postcard print

This is my newest hand made limited edition die cut

An example of the limited Edition Monster Trading cards, this is a pack of 3, I also did some wax wrapper style packs

Finally, This was used by Topps for a Postcard in their most recent Wacky Packages postcard series, I am working on a couple more for the next series now.

thanks for looking, I hope I didn't overdo it!  :)

Shiverbones!! Excellent work!! I really like your style, and it's perfect for Halloween themed artwork. What medium are the paintings done in? Do you have a site where we can see more? Thanks for sharing!

Thanks to both of you!

I work in oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, whatever suits my ADD at the moment.  ;) The 1st two in that post are oil, then 1 ink & watercolor, then an acrylic, the wacky is gouache.

I was a graphic designer for 10 years and had just started to sell enough art to believe I could make it if I devoted all of my time to it. I quit my job in 2002 and relocated from New Jersey to New Orleans (Much cheaper place to live, yet great culture abounds), and after a couple tough years, it did work out, so I am VERY grateful to be able to do this. I did have to sell my original Vintage Halloween  & monster collections to fund the lean years though.

My website is matthewkirscht.com, I have hundreds of paintings on flickr too - http://bit.ly/aCKDHo - Thanks for asking!

I can't tell you guys how much I enjoy this site.  I look forward to seeing what everyone has contributed each day, heck it's one of the highlights of my evenings.  I particularly love the artwork that is posted in this section.  I'm hesitant to show my meager endeavors, but I'll put up a couple that you guys have inspired over the last few weeks.  I have a Lugosi painting that's almost done...I've got to do a little work on the background and then I'll post it[http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/729/img1429u.jpg][http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7861/img1430d.jpg]
