Thanks, Artistguy!!! I recall the first time I painted him in oils. I was in my early teens, and my studio was a drawing table in my bedroom. I had a small easel, and was so excited as to how my painting was turning out I wanted to show my folks. I carried the easel with the wet painting on it downstairs to show them. As I carried it back upstairs the painting tipped against my forehead, leaving a nice smear of wet oil paint in my hair!! The turpentine shampoo I gave myself was lots of fun!!

LOL.. MIKE.. VERY COOL...it's funny how long that oil and turp smells lasts,  and how strong it can be...:) When I was in jr high/high school.. I was banned from using oils in the house.. it was all about the acrylics...:) I look forward to many more versions of your work!

Do you like working in acrylics/ Some folks (Basil Gogos, Michael Whelan) can do amazing things with them. I've never had luck using them.
You can see more of work here:

Hi Mike,

Your site  and work are wonderful.. I've been to before... :)  Revisiting it again always puts a smile on my face.. you can tell you love your subjects!

No, haven't painted much in about 15 or so years. When I first graduated from art college I exclusively painted in acrylics for all my illustration work. I also used gauche and ink. Once I started sculpting for  Universal and Disney in FL, (for theme park rides and exteriors).. I pretty much stopped painting.  Hopefully one day I might return to it...:) I'm actully  learning  digital painting with painter 11  and digital modeling with Zbrush 3.2 right now in my spare-time... and boy it dose eat up what little spare time I have... but those tools are so much fum... once I get the hang of them I hope to post some monster images here. Yourself and all the other artists that reside in the UMA are always inspirations!

As always love seeing everyone's work displayed in the thread....Here is one leg from a pair of jeans that I drew on in high school.  As I recall I only wore them once, maybe twice.  I thought I had the other leg but don't know what happened to it, the only picture I know for sure was on there was a portrait of Elvira and the front leg had a bunch of band names going down it.

Zombiehorror, your pants art is pretty cool!  My daughter had a habit of drawing on her pants while in high school which drove her teachers mad!  They were lucky it wasn't as disturbing as yours, ;D!

Nice Stuff Artman!  Will you be at Motor City this year?  Sucks that it's the same weekend as Wonderfest.
