I made this " Bigfoot " out of clay.  I'll be damned if I know how you modelers do it (and you know who you are)!  How in the world do you get such awesome details?  I've got a loooonngg way to go.  When it wasn't a headache, it was sure a lotta fun!  Gonna try some more sometime.  Hope you like it!

Recently tried my hand at painting & here's the result...
16" x 20" acrylics on illustration board.  Hope you like it!  The pic came out a little dark.  Fitting, eh?

Wow! I really like how this turned out! It's realistic, and yet stylized in a nice way. Great, great job!!!

Thanks so much, Mike!  That is a great compliment coming from one awesome artist!

My 15 year old daughter, Staci had to do a Wanted poster of a monster for a Halloween project in English class. Here's hers:

Thanks,

I have done papercutting for many years--last night I tried my hand at cutting a portrait.  What you see is my cutting done in white paper, laid over a black background.  The actual image is about 4" tall, 3" wide--it's not perfect, but if I do another one I'll have a better idea of what-and-how to do it.

Very nice, Robert!! The likeness is dead on. Keep going!!

Man, that is neat.  I think it's closer to perfect than you think it is!

Mike, your Staci did a great job!  Supercool & creative!  Wonder where she got her talent from?

Anyone got any drawing tips? I'd love to give it a go. I like plain black and white sketches but as soon as I look up at a picture my drawing becomes two inches out!!

I'd recommend searching out a good how to book if you're new to sketching. Just visit a local art store. Then it's really just a matter of practice and looking for the basic shapes in whatever you're drawing. Keep the proportions right and you're on your way!!

Thanks! I should've known that a book would be the answer! Apart from films, that's my favourite media.

MonsterArt

Hi folks! I actually had a little time over the holidays to work on my own stuff. Obviously I was in a Chaney frame of mind!

This Quasimodo was donw with watercolors.

And this Phantom caricature was done in oils. It's the first time I've done a "Sketchy Things" style caricature using oil paints. The photo was taken with my phone, so it's a little soft, and there's a lot of glare, but you get the idea!

Cheers!
