Herr Hussmann

Great use of the hair- what did you use for the hood?

Dr. Madd

white fake fur for the hair, brown felt for the hood. rest assured, UP, a Yeti with real white fur is on the blueprints.

I've been trying to figure out how to do that.

Illoman

MDG, love that style! Reminds me of 60's book illustrations! Those are really nice!!

MDG

Thanks--the style's a bit of a ripoff of some great stuff Dave Burke has been posting on his Facebook  page.

Herr Hussmann

Definite retro-feel and lots of fun! Thanks for posting those!

RedKing

Very nice MDG! Totally have a retro 60s feel
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Illoman

I had to put this in this thread, because this *truly* is a work of ART!!! I arrived home to find a box left on our doorstep. Inside was a wonderful work of art by our own Ultimate Primate:

Mark is selling these and I'd advise folks to order one a.s.a.p!! This is a wonderful Bigfoot statue that he created for me. I couldn't be more pleased with it. It is the same style that he draws in, only this is in 3D. I have to find the right place to display it in my studio, but for the time being he'll sit atop my 1935 TravLer radio. It's a place of honor and I wouldn't put just anything on it.

Mark, thanks again for this wonderful keepsake. You are one heck of an artist!!

Herr Hussmann

That's great! Light years better than the Bigfoot model AMT issued many years ago!

Gossamer

MDG!  Those paintings are absolutely wonderful.  The Killer Candy Corn ....... is Awesome!!!!

Illoman.  No doubt you are happy with that wonderful sculpt.   UP did such an amazing job on the Squatch!!!  Definitely a prize in your collection.   The stance is incredible.  You can just imagine this fellow wondering through the wilds.  Thanks for sharing your treasure.

Here is my first attempt at a caricature.  I have always been in awe of such talents.  Capturing an likeness and creating something fun out of it.  So I gave it a try with the Chaney Phantom.

Gossamer

A quick warm up before getting into a painting.  I need to get some mid size markers.  I only have Sharpie size or very fine.

Anyways these are just so fun to do up.

Nightmares in plastic

Wow!..you've all been busy since my last visit! :)

Thank you Herr Hussmann, vintagehalloweentoys and Gossamer, regarding my Ingrid painting!

Goss! Nice work on your drawings of Baron Boris, Erik , The Bride and the stunning portrait of Jimi! That's most impressive! I love the way you painted the hair.
Good luck with the Xmas craft sale.

Sly Wolf! A very cool "The Rat Creature's Paw"! I hope you do work on some more 3D projects!

Dr. Madd! Yeah! What a fun self portrait! Great stuff! Cyclown...the best of two kiddy nightmares..clowns and one eyed monsters! Yikes! The next model is definately witchy looking to me and I dig those skin textures,

Vintagehalloweentoys! That's so icky, but very cool at the same time! I'm just imagining that being taken for a stroll around the stores...that'll get them screaming!

MDG! I agree with Illoman! Your pictures have that retro-kid's book/1950's-60's mag illustration charm to the them.

Speaking of Illoman! You lucky devil! A great sculpt by UP! Who can resist the look on it's face?  ;D

Nightmares in plastic! I certainly love your Tor and Bela's birthday portrait!
