That COTW is your best one yet, G!  Awesome!

Thanks Illo and Unknown Primate!  The first half of the painting rolled out easily and then I stuggled for the latter half.  Glad you guys approve!!!  Helps put my mind to ease. LOL

Just finished this as a gift for my younger brother. This is my mom in high school. She shares her birthday with Lon Chaney, and she would have been 77 today. I remember watching Man of a Thousand Faces with her when I was a kid. Love you, and miss you, mom! Happy birthday!!

Illoman,  In one word "Beautiful".   Just simply Beautiful.  I'm sure your Brother will love it and it will warm his heart and home.

Stunning work sir.

Plain to see there's a lot of love and admiration in that paint brush of yours, Mike. A beautiful portrait and glowing tribute to a very special person. What a perfect gift to give your brother.

Mike - that is breathtaking - and I mean it, my friend.

Here's a link to my deviant art account excuse the photo edits I've been working on. There's no Old School monsters on here but some horror. I'll have to upload more stuff.  http://horror1o1.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=0
It's all about the Horror.

Neat stuff!  Although it was a struggle to take my eyes off of Lena Leather  ;)...

Just finished Ollie today!   Acrylics on water colour paper 11 x 17.  I believe Hammer's only Werewolf.  It was quite a beautiful and rich movie. Hope my tribute is OK.

Gorgeous! He was my first oil painting subject as a teen...I had no idea what he looked like in color and ended up painting him brown. We were VERY late in getting a color TV (I know where I inherited my 'thriftiness' from). So, it was quite a while before I ever saw it in color. Love that flick! Oliver Reed was so intense.

Illoman- Your painting of your Mom filled my eyes with tears. She looks like a beautiful movie star with friendly loving eyes. I can see all the admiration you have for her through your artwork.  How wonderful it is that you can gift your brother with this priceless keepsake. I can only hope that my son has as much love for me. It really is an honor to see this gorgeous painting of such a special woman  :)

Mike,
What a wonderful tribute to your mom!  You can see the love in each brushstroke.

Guys and gals, you humble me once again with your kind words about my work. I really appreciate each and every comment (or criticism) and each and every one of you. Thank you very much. It means a lot to me.

This was a difficult one to paint, not so much because of the subject matter: just life stuff generally sucking at that time. Your comments helped lift me out of my funk!

Well I got board last night and did this in Photoshop.  Just a quick sketch.  Looks like chalk huh?

It's all about the Horror.

Well folks... I find myself in need of your thoughts and opinions again... I am working on a set of Terminator 2 prints for Spooky Empire's May-Hem show in Orlando, I have been working on this first one for a little while and I am kinda digging it, but theres something about it thats bugging me and I can't quite put my finger on what it is. This is part of a 2 print set that goes together. This is print 1 titled "The Past", the second print is titles "The Future" and feature Arnold and the T-1000 as well as hints of the future war and is all in shades of blue. The 2 can be hung side by side or there will be a limited run of them as a single print divided by the T-800 arm from the film. It's a cool set and I am excited to be working on them, but something about this first one isn't sitting well with me... any thoughts, ideas, opinions would be most welcome and greatly appreciated! Bear in mind this still is a work in progress so it's not a very polished piece right now...

Thanks everyone!
Do you like monsters? They're my only weakness...
