Great.  Now my Exorcist nightmares are going to come back.  Thanks for posting the pic of that dead-on likeness of Regan.  (I also have one of Mike's paintings and when I find a good job there will be others added.  Awesome as usual, Mike!)

Those are great, Mike - I think I would be creeped out just drawing Regan!

Thnaks, Creepy Jeff and UP. Yeah, I rarely paint characters post 50's but Frankenstein73 is a great guy and he asked me to do it. Thanks to both of you for your comments.

I posted this over in the Music thread where I started a conversation about the group Gentle Giant. In 1983 I wanted to be a fantasy paperback cover artist. I decided to combine my love of music and that genre, and this popped out:

It was painted in oils on masonite, about 2'x3'. I see so many things I would paint differently were I to do it over, but it has a special place in my heart. It was a tribute to the band Gentle Giant, specifically to one of their songs called Peel the Paint, which is where I got my blog's name. It was a bit ambitious for my skill level back then, but dreams were alive back then also. I appreciate letting the Giant see the light of day, since he's been in my studio closet for many, many years.

Thanks, Scatter, I do too!! One painting I have sketched out ideas for in the past and *really* hope to do one day is based on the song Jack In The Green by Jethro Tull. It is rife with woodland imagery, and green creatures!

WOW! I spent the last month going through the previous 140 some odd pages of truly amazing art. Congratulations to you all! I am absolutely blown away with your talents. You all have inspired me to sketch and doodle again. Cheers for that!
