Dooooh, I realized I was in such a hurry getting ready for the last HorrorHound Show that I hadn't put my last 4 portraits to the gallery section, so I just added them.
They are Barbara Steele, Rod Serling, Beetlejuice, and Herman Munster in case anyone is interested in taking a look
Thanks again everybody!

*scottra*!!!  I received the Alec Guinness portrait today and it arrived in perfect shape and more importantly- is absolutely beautiful!!  Your work is incredible! I can't wait to give it to my brother for his birthday on Star Wars weekend at Disney. We go every year with his kids and our grandson and I had run out of cool ideas for birthday gifts for him. He will be delighted, to say the least , that I came up with a great gift for him and I imagine he will hang it in his office   :)      Thanks again and I will be back to the gallery soon!

A Boris caricature experiment...

... while trying to figure out the Jack Davis scratchy ink style. Is it the Georgia water that makes his lines look so great?!!!

charp13

Inkfink- That is a really cool technique! I can just imagine a line of all the horror movie greats, done in your caricature style!  You have done a beautiful job on Boris Karloff,  have you done a lot of this syle of art? I would love to see Bela Lugosi    :)   All those cheekbones and awesome facial structures those actors and actresses had- Ooooooh, I bet they would be amazing.  I am glad you shared your experiment !

scottra

Inkfink, that's really cool.  I'd love to see more!

Charp13, I'm so glad you liked the portrait!  Thanks again for your order!

Thats a really cool style Inkfink! I love the pen work on it! Seeing a version of Karloff like that and seeing your user name next to it is making think about how cool it would be to see Ed "Big daddy" Roth style versions of the aurora models of the monsters in their race cars (i.e. Dracula's Dragster, Frankenstein's Fliver, etc.) Awesome work man!

Hey, thanks for enjoying the experiment! Those thin scratches take some getting used to. I'll see what else I can do!

Here's an attempt at Bela...

Not as deformed as Boris and more line work but, the same basic idea.

Hey everyone! I just completed the first piece of my Aurora monster models tribute stained glass. The Mummy is all done and the remaining 3 are at the printers now!
