OoooH! I like it Doctor Madd!  Now I want to make something with fur! My daughter has a bunch of old NKOTB dolls and Ken dolls in the garage that I know would be just perfect for a project! But I don't really have crafting skills, except for semi-proficiency with a hot glue gun. Although I did try to make a Hersheys Kiss tree one year and I glue a foil covered candy to my hand and couldn't get it off in time to avoid a horrible burn.  But that was the past, I think I'm gonna get some pait and fur after the holidays and give it a try   :)

I like the Franky, Doc - how big is it?  4-5 inches?  Charp - I use a hot glue gun, too.  Believe me, if this ten-thumbed ape can do it, you can too!  I'm sure you're better at it than I am.

Dr Madd---cool Frank, you have a style all your own.

repair job a tentative success. Once he's on a base inside a shadow box, no one will notice.
Another project of mine is a devil. I've made the body and sculpted the face.. Will make his cloak out of red felt, and his pitchfork from a bamboo skewer and sculpted head, a metallic red pitchfork pendant, and a base with red lights and fire.

Doc good job  on Frankie!  I feel your pain about the broken sculpture.  I did a sculpt of Bela based on FM #35.  I use ceramic clay that I fire when it is dry.  I fired the piece and it exploded into thousands of pieces.  I tried to repair it, but it was beyond help.  So...I'm resculpting and am resolved to use Super Sculpy from now on! However, I've just finished an Oliver Reed Curse of the Werewolf piece that I'll post later this week.  This time I used air hardening clay, I needed to use some surplus that I had on hand.  I didn't like it very much.

RickH: Marblex, Stonex, or mexican pottery clay.. Was it made by amaco? That's what I use.

I finally checked the box and it is Amaco air hardening clay.  I just don't like the consistency of the clay.  Again, after I use all of this I'm going with Super Sculpy.  I know it won't explode.

I love my amaco clay. Its all I've ever used.

I sure hope I can find that magazine.  I will order it somewhere on the internet if necessary, but I need it.  It is an incredible work of art  :)
