KOOL KIWI KREATURE, G-F!  Knew he'd turn out great, as usual!

Thanks everybody, for your comments on my monsters.  It's a nice change of pace being on the other side of the slab!  Of course, it's kind of hard to "mess up" SHOCK & KIWI's head sculpts - I mean, look at those FACES!  I can't imagine the talent & workmanship that goes into some of these figures - for instance, the Curse of Frankenstein by Chris Elizardo that Spock posted, or Type3Toys' customs, to name just a couple.  Amazing work!

So far, I've made my own BIGFOOT, TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN, SHOCKY & EVIL.  Other creeps are on the way - I just hope they don't turn on their "master", lol...

You do great work. I love the detail on the clothing. I've never been very good at sewing myself. Only know one stitch, loop over.

I can't sew either!  I don't know how, plus,  I have short, wide gorilla hands, lol!  The clothes are the worst part - I used an old sock for KIWI & part of an old towel for SHOCKY's shirt!  I "eye-balled" them, no measuring, and then hot-glued the so-called "pattern" I cut out.  Luckily, these two monsters don't need to be sharp dressers.  Now, if it was Larry Talbot, I'd be in real trouble - we all know how picky he is about buttoned up shirts, tucked into well-belted trousers!

seeing how awesome your work turned out, it's made me wonder how well we'd all do with similar materials.

The fake fur is here to finish my cyclops. I've already applied his hair and beard. He has a wild-hermit thing going. Two heavy fur shoulder pads made him look entirely too wooly, so I made one shoulder pad of the fur.. The other will be played by cardstock painted metallic chrome. I made rivets and steel edge rolling from elmer's glue. When it dries it'll form beads that will then be painted over to make the entire pad seem made of metal. Glue it on the other side and voila.

Here is my latest art project-hand painted glass Christmas ornaments. You guys may notice one particular monster-themed ornament amongst the Santas, rudolphs, grinches and snowmen ;). I made these two batches for a fund raiser / adoption clinic for the pet rescue group my wife and I work with that is going on today.I was going to play Santa at it  but I took a fall avoiding puppies running around our kitchen last night and really threw my back out, so i am stuck in bed today.   :-\

Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

A while back I posted the unfinished cyclops. Well, my faux fur arrived and I've applied the beard, hair and shoulder ruff. I decided two fur shoulder pads made him too hairy, so I made him an armored shoulder-pad from painted card stock with rivets and details made from elmer's glue.

The front view. With the fur applied. To get an idea of the changes, the original is back  a page or so on the thread.
