speaking of other than monster models, certainly using morbid monster as a help, there are all kinds of DC/marvel characters that could have been done. or still could be done. i just dont think most of the box art from morbid monster, other than the few i mentioned, really would transfer that well to "action - simulated" styrene modeling.

when they were cheap several years ago., i bought numerous batman, superman, robin models. the idea, assuming i got time and energy for it, was to kitbash them into other figures. have seen web pics where folks converted superman to hawkman and space ghost. got a few ideas...
I kick myself in the ass for not stocking up on the Supes, Bats and Robin kits back in 2000! They are fairly expensive now but I did manage to pick up a Batman for 10 bucks a couple months ago. I've seen some awesome conversion jobs using the Superman kit-Aquaman, Green Lantern and Captain Marvel to name a few.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

A Green Lantern kit would be awesome! Green Lantern is my favourite superhero and is super hot right now with the pending release of his movie on the horizon in mid year.

yes i would think superman could convert without that much pain into green lantern, aquaman... guys with hair...

batman would be trickier but yes i think that could convert to hawkman and the flash

a good place to look is at the morbid monster website. they sell faux aurora / horrora model boxes.

I agree! The Morbid Monster website has some fantastic faux Aurora box art:

Those all should have been Aurora kits! I never thought of Sheena, but she's a natural!

How about a kit with maybe 3 zombies aproaching a terrified victim......Bud

i like the original aurora kits but some of them... wolfman, dracula... needed a bit better surroundings.

phantom and hyde could have used more but there are aftermarket background kits that fill in nicely.

the morbid monster hero boxes look cool but most of them dont seem to be model-quality scenes to me.

i could see green lantern striking a pose and recharging the ring. flash has to be running but either he and/or the surroundings have to show the effects of speed in play.

aquaman for instance should be battling a disobedient sea monster *that box works)... or commanding a fish. remember the thought waves?

i could see hawkman battling the shadow thief for instance. that would be a huge model if not descaled, however.

doom and the fantastic four would be a dynamite set of linked models. those boxes work.

Polar Lights did great updates of the Wolf Man and the Phantom of the Opera. As for the classic monster's, I wish Aurora had done Dracula's Daughter, the 1931 Frankenstein's Monster (their kit was based on "Bride of Frankenstein"), a more accurate Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Invisible Man.

Ya'll do realize Moebius has a Green Lanern in the works for a spring/summer release?

Hepcat

Yes. I really hope it becomes a smash hit because for whatever reason Green Lantern has never gotten the recognition from the general public that he so richly deserves:

Best of all would have been Loana from One Million Years B.C.

It's tough to forgive Aurora for passing over Loana.

Are you calling Loana a monster?! Besides, she would've been better suited for the Prehistoric Scenes kit line.

Hepcat

No, I'm not calling Loana a monster. We've expanded the subject of this thread beyond monsters to figures in general.

she has some giganta style features (of which i approve), but no, she isnt "monstrous".
