Attainging Rank in the "Army"

  Does anyone else wonder how you attain rank in the U.M.A.?

I used to think it was by posting "New Topics", replying to other posts.  As I have looked around lately, that just doesn't seem to really be the case.
Have you ever considered this?
Do you know the answer?

Uncula, I believe it is based on the amount of posts you actually make.

Or how well you do during top-secret, life-threatening missions.

Charp...I will gladly add a couple of Habenero peppers to that creamed corn mixture.  You could fly to Jupiter on one of them...if it didn't kill you outright.
