He did several genre films, but he's best remembered for the 1976 "King Kong". Rest in peace, Dino.

Sorry to hear this, I'm a fan. I LOVE Flash Gordon, & I never thought his King Kong was the terrible turkey many state it to be. RIP

Seeing his Kong as a young lad left a great impression on me. Sure, it didn't really weather the test of time, but it sure fed my Kong Mania and gave me many happy hours over the years. Thanks Dino, and RIP.

My 2nd job in Entertainment Industry was with Van der Veer FX here in Burbank. They were involved in the FX with Rick Baker, et al, on this, and earned an Oscar for "King Kong" . Got to hold it. Nice...and heavy!

When his KONG came out, I really dug it.  Then, I went through a 20 year phase where it just didn't do anything for me.  In the past several years, however, it's been a blast to watch!  The campiness of the 70's and Charles Grodin doing what he does best...   Jeff Bridges' ernest & righteous portrayal, Jessica Lang's looks and the overall nostalgia, makes it a fun film to watch.

R.I.P. Dino L.   You did good!

RIP, Dino.  I saw the Kong remake in the theaters with my parents and sister.  I enjoyed it, no matter how flawed.

Sure, he backed some crappy movies but the guy was a real risk-taker and turned out some bona fide classics.

He was one of the last true greats in his field, like Robert Evans, etc.
