Other than that, I did not realize there were so many little big head variations . .

I suppose I should've said "most" of my Creature Collection.  Items not shown are some masks, and Sideshow diorama, statue, and bust, and other Amazonian odds and ends.

I actually got that Amok Time large vinyl Creature from a gift shop here in town -- that I happen to own.  I deal with Sideshow and a few other companies on a wholesale basis, and although I rarely, if ever, sell any of it in the shop, it keeps my costs down and gives me trade fodder.  Right now, I have a couple of of those large Amok Time Creatures available if anyone's interested.

As for the AHI , I've had him awhile and probably got him via a trade about 20 years ago, back in the good ol' pre-Ebay days of monster toy amassing.  I had the wide hip variant, but a collector friend sweet-talked it out of me long ago and every time I look at my collection, I feel verklempt.  I'd really like an AHI squirt gun to go with my Frankie one.

Really nice Creature collection!
He's always been one of my fave Universal monsters.
Great stuff!
:)

I love the Creature and that's the best collection I've seen of him.

gracebuster

That is an extremely great collection.  Thank you for sharing it.

I also admire your Creature collection Gakenstein!  It reminds me of the collection I saw a few years ago in Horrorshow magazine. There's just something about the way they look all grouped together that is so striking! You've done a great job displaying them    :)

Thanks for posting these pics.  One of the best creature varieties I've ever seen!

Murder By Death

I Like your style of comfort....Green is the way to go.

Love the AHI especially...too sweet.

Very cool, Gak, thanks for sharing.

Thanks, guys, for all the nice words, but every time I look upon my shelves of comfortable green goodies, I fell, well..... UNcomfortable.  The display looks forlorn and incomplete without...let's see.... an AHI Squirt Gun, a 3D Wall Plaque, Mustery Game, and a Wallet.  Wanna help me out?  Send 'em on!  You KNOW they'll go to a warm, green-loving home! I promise I'll send updated pix.    Danny? ? ?  :)

Some of my Creature Collection:

This is the stuff I could crowd onto my little photo-table. No room for posters, prints, monster mags, comics, trading cards, Grave Walker, etc. I also left out some of the lesser items like the Uncle Milton glow fig, Sideshow LBHs, Monster Force fig, CVS plush, etc. because they were tucked away in one of several boxes and frankly not worth the trouble to dig out.

My Aurora reissue is painted in garish, glossy, 1960s Monsterkid style. I know some folks are hyper-critical of the yellow stomach, but I painted it this way to replace the one I had as a kid. I'm sure I never considered this as a kid, probably just emulating the Bama box art, but there is some rationale for the yellow stomach. Years ago I was a tropical fish hobbyist and made note of the fact that the males were usually the colorful ones. Their colors would sometimes intensify for mating to attract the opposite sex. Now we all know how hot and bothered the Creature got with Kay, so it stands to reason a gillman would flash some mating colors as well. Kind of like a yellow neon sign with an arrow pointing down  ;). The Creature on the movie shoot was just moss green according to Julie Adams, but James Bama may have consciously, or unconsciously, had the fish mating thing in mind when he painted the classic artwork. Or, maybe he just thought it looked good.

These pics are super busy. Click on them to enlarge them.
