Well, in hand pics are surfacing. The paint apps on these are terrible. :blank: Cushing's eyes make him look mentally challenged. :o All this waiting and crud paints. Huzzah. >:(. I am gonna be stuck getting Van Helsing and Dracula because I pre-ordered them 2 years ago from my lcs......but I won't be buying anymore until they get a decent Chinese factory to paint them a little better than this.

VAN HELSING IS SOOOOO SLEEEEPY FROM HUNTING VAMPIRES.

Why is he making a cross out of the candlesticks when there is a perfectly acceptable cross on the base of each of the candlesticks.

I really like the Ingrid one but I can't get past the fact that the bottom part of her bust just looks... silly. Why is her dress open like that on the bottom? I know it's from Countess Dracula but look:

It would look much better like that. This is just me being picky I know but I can't get past the fact that it looks like she is growing mens genitals or something  :-X
A real dead body is given away to some lucky person at every performance!

I recently got a copy of the Cushing and Lee busts and the paint jobs on both were spot on, at least for a pre-paint model.
I haven't been on the UMA in a while due to a dodgy laptop and was expecting positive reviews! I've had to re-paint or touch up a few statues in the past but I was pleasantly suprised by the over-all quality of the two busts, espeicially the Cushing.

I got them since the last time I posted. Van Helsing's magenta vest is horrible, and his eyes are off.  For a mass prodcued item, they are passable. But nothing to write home about.

Mord

How is the Dracula, Anton? I really wanted to get these, but I'm no good at re- painting them.

Worth getting them both. Dracula is better than Van Helsing because of Cushing's sleepy eyes and magenta vest. Buy them up if you wanna eventually see others. 8)

When someone says 'Hammer busts', I just daydream about things other than Christopher Lee.... ::)

If there's a second series, I want to see either Veronica Carlson or Yutte Stensgaard!

The seond "series" consists of one figure bust. Baron Frankenstein. To the best of my knowledge anyway.

No Christopher Lee Creature? That's odd. Kinda pointless, calling it a second "series."

Its in the new Diamond Previews and Forbidden planet has it up. I think they are just releasing one figure at a time at this point. Like the Star trek and Dr. Who busts. Which is ok by me as long as they keep making them and space them out to about 2 or three a year tops.

Mord

I wonder if the paintjob will look anything like the pictures posted.

Pose is more appropriate for a Jekyll & Hyde character. He should at least have an eyeball in that beaker!
