We have been told doing Hammer is a licensing nightmare, but apparently someone is going trough all of the red tape. First two offerings are Count Dracula (Lee), and Countess Dracula (Pitt). I didnt care for the Pitt films, so easy pass for me there---but that Lee will be mine! Bring on the Peter Cushing Van Helsing and all the monsters!!!

We must be the only two who give a rats hiney. I thought more would be excited about these. :'(

Scary Terry

Sweet!  Would like to see more angles on the Dracula, though.

That Dracula looks cool! I'd love to see Peter Cushing as either Van Helsing or Dr. Frankenstein.

ABSOLUTELY!  BOTH!!  Can you imagine the monsters as busts?

--Gorgon
--Reptile
--Curse of the Werewolf
--Frankenstein Creature (Lee)
--Evil of Frankenstein (Kingston)
--Legend of the seven golden Vampires Vampire Leader (if the line would progress this far)
--Plague of the Zombies
--Phantom of the Opera (Lom)
--Mummy (Lee or the others)
--Sherlock Holmes Cushing (Hound of Baskervilles)
--Monster from Hell (David Prowse)
--Captain Kronos
--Twins of evil
--Baron meinster (Brides of Dracula)
--Bride of Dracula (same)
--Devil Rides out Goat creature

so many great ghouls they could sculpt!!!!

I for one love both of these and will pick them up. I am wondering tho why Ingird was the choice for the second bust, when we could have had a Cushing or Curse of the Werewolf. As both Pitt and Lee are still alive did the license come through them?  The likeness on Pitt tho is absolutely spot on. Can't tell with the side view on the Lee but they are reasonably priced and well worth picking up

Those are pretty nice. Wish they would have posted a front few of Lee.

i do not like the fact that they are 1/2 busts but I will pick them up. The sculpt and paint look really nice.

I have never been a fan of the recent sculpting trend of busts of having arms.  It looks like half a figure!  A bust shold include the upper torso, sans arms.  Randy Bowen's early Marvel busts were the traditional style and I loved 'em, but then he started adding limbs, etc. -- and they leave me a bit cold.  Meh...guess I'm an old purist, but sometimes less is more.

I like traditional style busts too. I agree with not needing arms. But since so little ever comes Hammer fans's way....I am going to get some of these bad boys.

The new 'posed' style of busts do tend to create a new sort of frustration, whereby you wish to hell they'd just gone the hog and given us a full figure [though I grant you Ingrid's bust is by definition a full figure as well.... ROWF!!!]. But, I'll grab 'em. They're quite cool.

It makes the female pictured look like a figurehead from a classic sailing ship.

I also don't care for the arms.  If you are going to go that far with the figure, go ahead and add the legs.  Even worse is the single half arm, floating in space.

Love the artistic sculpt on these.  Hope they get around to doing the Universal Classics.
