Only 2 ft 11 inches tall, Angelo Rossitto made a big impact in many horror and mystery films over the years.  Perhaps best remembered in FREAKS (1932), his first genre role was in SEVEN FOOTPRINTS TO SATAN in 1929 (unless you count the Lon Chaney Sr. crime drama, WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS, made the year before that), and his last was THE OFFSPRING, in 1987, which featured Vincent Price in one of his latter roles.  He's also remembered well for his work in more than one Lugosi film.  Besides his many horror/mystery films, Rossitto performed in children's tv shows like H.R. PUFNSTUF and LIDSVILLE.  He even portrayed one of the 3 Little Pigs in the Laurel & Hardy film BABES IN TOYLAND.  Although he did seemingly endless film and tv work, "Little Angie", as he was called, relied on his newspaper stand to support himself as he grew older.  He left behind more than his acting legacy--he was one of the founding members of the group Little People of America.

Wow, he lived a long life!

In general, little people (barring any outstanding health issues) live long lives whereaas the giants, tend to die young.

He is a welcome addition to any show or film that I've seen him in.  He was much more than a little person just filling a role.  He really seemed to add so much more to those types of roles.

Probably best known to modern film fans for one of his last roles  as the "Master" part of "Master/Blaster" in "Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome."

Here's my sculpt of Angelo (with his pal Johnny Eck).
