Well finally after all these years was able to obtain, the elusive Fay Helm, who we all know was Bela's victim in The Wolfman. Best, Mario,  everyone have a Great New Year!!!!

Mario...Fay Helm is stunning, isn't she?  She's one of the grand character ladies of film, who reminds me quite  a bit of Rosemary DeCamp.  Ms. Helm was a beauty, who could crawl inside her skin and portray a plain woman and make you cry.  From a shy spinster in THE WOLFMAN to a neglected, crippled wife in CALLING DR. DEATH...she was fabulous.

Great stuff guys.

I have been inspired by all of your great collections and have begun to dabble in autographs myself.  I am waiting on a Janina Faye (Horror of Dracula) to arrive in the mail any day now.

Adding a couple more to the album tonight.  First is Kathryn Grant, also of THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD.  I still need Richard Eyer (
Baroni the Genie) and then I'll probably combine him with the Grant, Thatcher, and Kerwin Mathews for a 7TH VOYAGE display.

Next, is Peggy Moran of THE MUMMY'S HAND.  I screwed up the page, but I'll just have to redo it later when I get a chance.

For laughs, at least--although I have a Clifton Webb thread here in MEM. MEM. already, I'm sticking this recently acquired autographed photo here.  Webb's only genre connection, sort of, is his role in the great murder mystery film LAURA (and he was very nearly cast in the James Mason role in JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, but it didn't work out!).  Anyhow, I recently acquired this, which he sent to singer Grace Moore in the late 1930s as a Christmas card!  Webb did a fair amount of comedy, too--MR. SCOUTMASTER, MR. BELVEDERE GOES TO COLLEGE, and others--and this is surely a good example of his sense of humor in real life!  In case you have trouble reading his handwriting, he wrote:  MAY I GURGLE MERRY CHRISTMAS--CLIFTON WEBB
