Mario,
Do you have all of these hanging throughout your house? If so it must be very impressive! Great job on all the displays, I must say that I've never been that big a fan of collecting autographs but seeing your collection now I really "get" it. Please keep sharing them.

For rare and unusual autographs, you'll find no better collection than Mario's.   :o

Finally finished my Karloff display.

I really like the inclusion of the filmstrip - I'd like to get one of those.  Are they still available anywhere?

Mario,
I'm working on my first now. Well not my first autograph, I've had some things autographed in the past but I've never been that much into it. I'm working on getting a Karloff now. It's a friend of a friend's and his grandparents got it. He has two but wants to hang on to one of them. Here is  a link to where I was inquiring about it.

If I end up getting it I'll post a photo.

I just got a couple of them last week from A.C. Moore .  It's a craft store chain, but I'm not sure how large a chain it is.  It's got there name on the packaging, but they probably are just distributors.  I think this size was 3 or 4 bucks, but they always have sales and coupons (40-50% off).  They also had a shorter size.  It's great for actors who have done many roles, like Boris.

Phantomcreep, just make sure it's authentic, and then let your ideas run wild. Best, Mario

Mario, your display's are inspiring and fantastic!  I am a horror autograph collector as well, and am considering framing them as well.  Framing being as expensive as it is, I intend to teach myself how to do it.  Do you do your own or have them done professionally?

Creepy,

You can do some nice autograph framing yourself.  A lot of the craft stores have reasonably priced frames that get even cheaper with their coupons and sales.  The matting is usually the tough part, but there are some multi-openings mattes out there that will lend themselves nicely to autograph displays.  You can also get shadowboxes to do 3-D stuff.  Also, nice accessories can be found in the scrapbboking areas.  I've been pretty pleased with the stuff I've done, and I don't have an ounce of artistic talent.  I can't even draw a straight line or a round circle.  Use old fashioned-photo corners to support the odd-sized autos.

Hey Rob,
I'm definitley going to look into it.  Mario's collection is very cool, and I'd love to get my collection looking as good.

I would like to take the time  to thank my new buddy Mario for helping me acquire a really obscure autograph.  Once I get it matted, I will return with pics.  Hint: it involves a punishment poll. Thanks Mario!!!!

William Castle huh? Good one!

Not quite....but close.  He would be the one being punished.  Who later played with dolls and mastered puppets.  he even had a moment of terror involving teakwood with a thrilling gentleman named Karloff.
