Spent the day, at SAM'S, in FRANKENSTEIN Make-Up,
Whene'er I do, I'm pleased, by a most pleasant wake-up,
Most young kids, of Today,
Know who I am, right away,
When The Day comes, our MONSTER KID Banner they'll take up!

One, of my dearest friends, is THE WEREWOLF OF LONDON,   ;D
You'd know him, most days, as the Good Doctor, GLENDON,   ::)
Yet, when the FULL MOON holds SWAY,   :o
You'd, best, get, out, of HIS WAY,    >:(
Lest, THE BEAST claim you, as Victim & your life, be ENDIN'.   :'(

... Yes; a variable re-tread... expanded beginning, different ending...
... Closer, to WARREN ZEVON'S Song, i.e: "he'll rip your lungs out, Jim!"

PAUL NEWMAN was human, and, still, brightly, shone,
The Star, of many movies, his craft, of Acting, to hone,
Yet, to him, there was, much, more,
His generous Charities, galore,
Making Heaven, on Earth, he was quite near, when GOD called him HOME!
```````````````````````````````````````
PAUL NEWMAN, REST IN PEACE!
TIMOTHY, B.G.G.
Dear UMA FANG-MILY,
... Priming the pump, on this final day, o' September!
----------------------------------------------------------
  Tomorrow begins the Month, called OCTOBER,
  When WERE-WOLVES become a MAN, called DOBER,
  They live, in the BOG,
  And, eat, like, a HOG,
  Those AQUALUNG hobos, who ain't always SOBER!
----------------------------------------------------------
HAPPY HALLOWEEN... All Month, Long!  ;D
September has ushered in the Fall
The season I look forward to most; don't we all?
Now October is here
We have reason to cheer
And if it's werewolves you fear, give me a call
MARLENA DIETRICH, oft,  said: "IVAN, TO BE ALONE!"
THE UMA, in its own wise way, always, carries a CLONE,
IVAN'S Posts have brought him FAME,
So, LILI MARLENE wasn't hip, to his GAME,
Or, take the time , to ring him up, on the TELEPHONE!
... Despite a too-busy life, October Greetings, to all, especially, Dear Brothers, IVAN & MAURICE!
Dear friends I have been very busy on a few projects but now I have returned like an ill prepared meal.  Happy Horrorween season to my friends on the forum and a personal thank you to my mentor the baron and his cubling Ivan.
I hold this forum to my heart most dear,
Among it's threads are a lot of friends I try to adhere,
My limerick's might fall short but have no fear,
With my return I'm now in full throttle gear.
With the season of the witch comes costumes and candy
And stores start selling monster swag, which is handy
But don't pity me
though I'll be out to sea
We're having a haunted house and costume contest, which is dandy
A LONG DIN-DIN, WITH RENFIELD
-----------------------------------------
Or: WHAT'S ALL THIS BUZZ ABOUT?!
````````````````````````````````
IVAN'S post #514 mirrors the undisputed and unconscionable, FACT,
That, this Limerick Thread's been read 5414 times, so, "TAKE A CRACK",
At composing your own odd Ode, to THE MONSTERS' "CLASS ACT";
Requires, less, than, HALF, of a WIT, &, even, {isn't it obvious? ;)} far less, TACT,
Proving, that, vinegar, laced, with honey, many more FLIES shall ATTRACT!

Tim and Maurice are perfect examples
of monster limericks; just check out their samples
No need to wait for inspiration
Quantity, not quality, is my only qualification
Our poems may be lousy, but our poetry's ample

Thank you my friends for an incredible thread
I echo all that Brother Timothy said

Ti's thread is indeed popular and very well read
If only more members would post here instead

* Jump into the mix, and take a stab at composing your own limerick.

It's fun, it's relaxing, it's creative, and it's safe for the whole family!

Seriously though folks. If this keeps up, we'll have to publish a new book entitled "WARNING: Irish Limericks Ahead!"

A complete study in nonsensical and commonsensical prose. A collection featuring the best of!

A UMA exclusive!

A book of our poetry?  Surely you jest!
With so many entries, what would pass the test?
You'd have to be squirrelly
(and yes, I called you 'Shirley')
To think any of these verses could be best!

I am glad to join the fold

The call has been given, verses ready at ten paces or less. These are hard times but a bad pun will enlighten the fun or my name is not TV horror.... king of the old rerun.

If you enjoy horror from New York to Maine,
There are not many flaws for you to blame,
So if you don't post your reasons must be lame,
A hearty welcome to our new member Auntie Maim,
And please feel free to post more of the same.
