About time I show off my modest collection.

Both too many and too cool to be modest!

;)
Collecting! It's what I do!

Thanks again guys!!

Scatter...that Kong is the Mcfarlane Kong figure fyi.  Not a kit.  Just thought I'd let you know in case you want to pick it up yourself.

At this point I'm pretty satisfied with my collection...but I've left a lot of space for any new Gamera (a new film maybe or anything dealing with the Showa era, i.e the old school Gamera stuff is where my heart belongs) or Creature from the Black Lagoon figures that might catch my eye someday.

I wonder if there IS a kit of Kong in the (as Carl Denham put it) "chromium steel" restraints?? I'd rather build than buy.

Yeah man there has to be.  I'm just far too lazy to build kits though lol so I can't help you there.  Whatever you do, make sure your Kong collectables are based on the REAL Kong, and not Jackson's big gorilla.  Kong needs to be a little more humanoid then just a straight enlargened version of an ape.  My two cents at least.

Oh, and everyone needs at least one Gillman collectable  ;D

I don't like the Sideshow sculpts for some reason so for the moment, the only Gillman item I have is this guy:

I like how it's a little bit of  a more extreme version of the Gillman without being a total reworking.  And it manages to avoid one thing that I hate when people try to update the gillman-they didn't give him teeth!!  I hate a toothy Gillman lol.  Nitpicks I know.

I bought that one, just for sh*ts and giggles and it's arm fell off as soon as I got it out of the package.  Pure garbage  >:(

Not sure about the chromium steel per se but Dark Horse did the cold-cast Ray Harryhausen Kong on-stage kit in the ?early 90s?
