Frazetta created from his imagination, Boris used posed photographic references (mostly of himself, which is why so many of his characters look alike). Huge difference IMO.
Ken Kelly won my admiration with his Eerie covers. I also met him a handful of time, seems like a real gentleman.

Bottom line is they all have entertained me over the years (but Frazetta is the King!).

I highly recommend the documentary PAINTING WITH FIRE to any Frazetta fan who hasn't seen it.

Micronauts art FTW!

But I'm probably biased here... :)

I like Frank's Paintings, but his Pencils are where it is at. I also recommend Painting with fire. HHW

My digital studio has become my "monster room." A collection of 12" and 8" Sideshow Universal Monsters, Big Loo (circa 1963,) Mr. Machine (circa 1960,) a rare Tobor the Great figure, an array of Ray Harryhausen figures. Also a replica of the Monster Movie Matinee opening haunted house re-created from photos from the original Alexander railroad model 1959.

Great stuff there Joe.  It's always fun to see each others' collections to see what stuff overlaps and what stuff is different, sometimes even unique.

It's such a pain to download the photos. I wish you could just go to Browse and download a jpg!

Ted,

Posting a link to the site where the pics are hosted if fine also.  You don't have to link each photo to the UMA.

Yea. For some reason my photobucket freaks out and doesn't always load or loads something completely different than what I want. I've put enough pics on here the last year or so which proves I know how to do it. Maybe I should just open a Flicker account.
