Question(s) about Frankenstein masks...

I am in the market for a wearable Frankenstein mask... a really good one---but I don't even know where to go.  Are the Don Post Calendar masks wearable?  I've seen re-issued versions on line from the 1990s, but I don't know if they're large enough to wear.  I wear a 7 1/2 to 7 5/8 ballcap (I'm pretty big).

I saw a Don Post Karloff Frankenstein next to a Daniel Horne Strange Frankenstein-----and the Post Frank looked so small (I realize the 1st Horne Strange Frank was supposedly HUGE------but the disparity in sizes was great).

Any help would be much appreciated.  I've seen the $40-50 ones in the stores, but they don't do it for me.  I also want a classic Strange or Karloff look-----not some odd looking facsimile.

I think itr's Illusive concepts that has the Karloff looking one which is most affordable everywhere. I have one and like it.

The reissued Don Post Calender masks from 97/98 are wearable. I have a big head, so...
The Mask should fit. The only Don Post Mask I had problems with was, the Metaluna
reissue Mask. Other that, you should be good!

I only know of the 97/98 reissues. If there are early releases, I'm not aware.

I disagree about the wearability of the Don Post reissues . . . most of them were smallish IMO and cast too thick to wear.

I'm not a fan of Paper Magic/Illusive products.

The mask is very thick and the eye sockets of the mask press up against your eyes. I've seen on the internet that you can glue foam pieces to the inside on the brow and cheek to move the mask away from the face, but I spent almost $400 on this mask and I'm not going to do that! Good luck on your hunt.

YES, Jeff..... at 7 3/4 we BOTH have big heads ... Yeah... I probably wouldn't try modifying a $400 mask, either.  Then again, it would be taling to me like the Tell Tale Heart at night because I'd want to wear it so bad!
