Dolly Parton
Sally Timms (solo or with The Mekons)
Bill Monroe
Nat King Cole
Brian Wilson

My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.

I love Sally Timms -- especially the "Cowgirl Sally..." disc.  "Dreamin' Cowboy" is one of my favorite recordings ever.

Glad to see mention of Brian Wilson and Julie London.
Unless I missed it, I'm surprised to see no mention of Ms. Ella Fitzgerald.
I can't stick with just 10, so I'll duck out. Just had to give Ella some love.

10. Bob Dylan (believe it or not!)

Dylan's voice gives life to his compositons perfectly.

Sorry,I disagree. I think Dylan is over rated and would get the axe on American Idol. Not that I watch it hardly ever. Just saying.

Never say never. I dissed Dylan for years. He's not a "favorite", but I enjoy him now.

I do a mean Dylan impersonation. Of course, I'm aided immensely by my remarkable lack of singing talent.
We're all here because we're not all there.
