I haven´t seen any discussion on these boards about this topic yet but it appears that Polar Lights is back.  And with Monarch and Moebius churning out kits with monsters in them it seems it´s the old 60´s again.  I am quite excited.  Also Aurora is attempting a comeback but I am a little skeptical on that one.  Anyway it´s a good time to be a modeler!

BTW, the extra good news is that Moebius Models has just announced that Big Frankie will be in stores as soon as this July:

This is all very great news! Polar Lights is back in the house you say? Wonderful! It sounds as if the monsters are about to rise again. Let's hope so.

Looks like Moebius is going to do a bunch of Monster Scenes, too.  This will be the first time those have been reissued or repopped.

I recently purchased several items from HouseOfTheUnusualdotCom, I bought a few magic trick classics, and some of the items in the best sellers. I did receive my package and all the items where as described. I do remember the Monster Ghost a little different as a kid but, I think if I do ever find one it will be to expensive to buy. I mean last time I when into an exhibition show for I found the original actual Monster Ghost for around $4,000 and it was used. I was blown away. But hey I got a really good imitation for only $2.75 and It still gives me the memories, ideas and fun factor as I did back in the good old days. I spoke to Mr. Guevara and he was a man of many ideas, he had a very likeable character and was extremely knowledgeable. I found from and got some Polar Lights from him, and they are in Mint and Fantastic as the first day, I got them in the mail from back in the day. The website is now on my favorites list of sites. Back in the day I had both an original 7 Foot Frankenstein and Skeleton and when I got mine from the HOU site it was an inexpensive copy replica. Although I was a little sad that it was not in color, it was still worth the money, the original sells for around $2,000 each in that exhibition show I send too. I least now I got my memory on what it looked like and still have something to show my kids, without taking out a 2nd mortgage. Ha Ha Ha. My kids loved the Polar Lights, tricks, gags and novelties. I guess for kids it's all the same – a toy is a toy. They are now making there own memories up and there happiness is what matters, well that and the fact that all this good stuff came as a very inexpensive price and actually its chump change compared to the Universal and Novelty exhibition show prices.

Cool...

But they don't sell direct, and there are NO distributors close to me...how the heck do I get my hands on a Big Frankie, Invisible Man and Monster Scenes kits???

Maybe I can ask my local Hobby shoppe to contact them and become a distributor!
Rest in Peace,

It's going to be a great year for styrene!

I can't wait for the Monster Scenes!  I have resin copies but there's just something about monsters in plastic!

This is great news for us modelers! I never had a Big Frankie so it would be a treat. I know it will go for more than the original price of $4.95. (just kidding around) I wonder how much it will be and what stores will have it. I doubt if any around my neck of the woods will have it. Hopefully Amok Time will get them. I checked the site but no listing for it. As for the Monster Scenes, I used to have all of them but they were in a couple of boxes I lost in a move and it would be good to have them again. Once again, I hope the price is right.

I think Neca's Universal Monster Headknockers Series 2 might be a factor in next year's Rondo Awards.
