I'm taking the family to Disneyland in 2 weeks and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on any cool places to go. We went to Universal Studios last time we were in LA but probably won't go back. Besides Disneyland, we're going to Meltdown Comics and Wacko/Soap Plant/La Luz De Jesus gallery. It's a pretty low key trip. Just 2 days. Are there any good places for toys/models (vintage and new)?Sorry for the boring topic. Just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks!Jasen
There are a couple of pretty good ones here in the San Fernando Valley. In Burbank, there's Blast from the Past on Hollywood Way just south of Magnolia, and there is also Hallowe'en Town on Magnolia BlvdThen OVER in Van Nuyshttp://www.bigkidcollectables.com/ In Hollywood, Hollywood Toy & Costume, but less vintage there
Just bookmarked that link.........must resist until house is paid off. MUST RESIST>>>>>>>>>
Store has more than the online site does--actually it's more vintage than new.
Good, you can take me there in March.
Word!
Sweet! Thank you so much for the suggestions! I had forgotten about Blast from the Past. I've never been to Halloween Town or Big Kid Collectibles. I'll definitely check them out! Thanks again!Jasen
Oh, and if you like Lugosi I can give you a list of places to go where he lived and worked. Chaney Sr. too.
