From what I know of it, it is wonderful!  The songs are a real hoot.  NO SNOW!

Very cool news! Yeah, no snow! no snow!

I was in NYC/Broadway during the months of December and January to see Brian Cox in "Rock n' Roll".  When I got wind of Brian Cox coming to Broadway, I was determined to get there at least once. When I got to see him TWICE, I thought I had died and gone to heaven!  With the exception of Anthony Hopkins and Brian Cox, my absolute favorite actors have passed on.  So, what a thrill it was for me to see an actor whose work I love being live and in-person. He was brilliant and make it a wonderful experience. While walking around Times Square, there was a lot of great ad work for "Young Frankenstein". It's a riot!  Rumor has it that Mel Brooks is living in NYC during the run of "Young Frankenstein", so you never know.....you might get to see the great man walking down the street. I was hoping that, by chance, we'd cross paths with the great Melvin Kaminsky, but it never worked out. I hope to see "Young Frankenstein" soon.  Broadway is just such a wonderful experience.  My last two trips have been a delight and be sure to check out the Virgin Records Megastore in Times Square, too. A CD and DVD Mecca if there ever was one!
But, make sure to stop by the theatre store near "Spamalot". They have "Young Frankenstein" hats and yes, you can get a hat that says...Abby Normal.

Have a terrific Time!

How interesting, and they both played Hannible Lector! Cox being the first In Manhunter.

Cox did one hell of a turn as a historical monster, Hermann Goering, in  the TNT mini on the Nuremberg trials a few years back.

IT WAS FUN !! Really Amazing sets !! Fun songs ! really funny moments !  It also had guest appearances by The Wolfman and Dracula !!

It was very faithful to the movie but added tons of new bits and lots of laughs. The "Putting on the Ritz " song and dance number was added to and was hilarious .

The songs were fun but lacking the power the Producer's songs had. If they were better it would have been perfect.

Was it as good as the Movie ..well no ..  but we all had a great time and we all enjoyed it immensely.

I recommend it but don't expect to see a masterpiece , just go and enjoy the pure fun of it.

I only thing I bought was an "Abby Normal" t shirt and a shot glass.

Best..

On the other hand.. In the theatre right next to it on 42 d Street . They are proforming an amazing limited run of Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps !" which we saw a few weeks ago and were blown away by it.  It was  hilarious ! and all roles preformed by only 4 actors ! The main Hero , the girl " she payed 2 roles" and the 2 other guys played 139 roles between them , sometimes in the same scene by just quick hat changes !

It was amazing and I laughed so hard it hurt ! Young Frank was great but go see The 39 Steps first before it is gone ! It is only a limited run.

Hey, thanks for the review. We were thinking of seeing it the last time we were in the city but we saw Spamalot instead cause tickets to Young Frankenstein were sold out. Did you have to reserve the tickets in advance or were you able to buy them at the box office on the day that you went?

I always buy in advance. I got them in November of last year .
