There are so many films I really want to see that are not readily available on DVD! How do you nominate/suggest titles to be released on DVD?

First you need to find out who owns the property (which may be a different owner depending on what country you live in). The film may say Paramount, but it is now owned by Universal. About all you can do after that is write to (or get up a petition and send to) the studio's home videos division. A smaller company, or private owner will be harder to contact. Public Domain titles will probably already be on DVD, it's just a matter of finding a good transfer. And then there's bootlegs. Some titles are just never going to get a legal release, so you may as well buy the boot!

Some films are tied up in legal issues.  Some don't get a DVD release because the available transfer is poor, and nobody thinks they can sell enough of the title to warrant the cost of restoring it.  Those are the ones that might get a release if there is enough consumer push...

Go to a monster convention.  You would be surprised at what movies turn up on bootleg er uh independent DVDs.
