Today is a sad day for a known actor for his role in the Wolfman. Mr. J.M. Kerrigan passed away on this day, known for his role as Charles Conliffe, Gwen's father.
Mae Clarke, "Elizabeth" in Frankenstein also passed away on this day in 1992.

Honestly, I think I know him better for little parts in WEREWOLF OF LONDON and MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, as far as genre flicks go--but I suspect his comedy roles far outnumbered his serious ones.  Kerrigan did more than 120 films--and my favorite (comic) role was in the John McCormack film SONG O' MY HEART (1930).
