Sometimes, I am really in the mood for Marting Denny/Les baxter/Yma Sumac/Arthur Lyman. Which is part of the reason my living room looks like this:

The Blasters were good live at the 688 Club in Atlanta.
I never got a chance to see Man or Astroman live (but I wish).

Also got to see Snakefinger (r.i.p.!) at 688, backed by some fellows in leisure suits, hats, and shades. Phil referred to them during the show as "The Dead Residents" but of course we knew that they were indeed THE RESIDENTS! Among his set tunes, he played some Nino Rota, which was awesome.
