I was going down my cellar stairs when I hit a loose board and fell. to the bottom. I'm old and had my panic button around my neck but when I reached to hit it I could not move my arms. The light went out. I live alone..in the country.. and have no one that will miss me.

t's a reminder of how important it is to have a solid safety plan in place, especially when living alone. Maybe it's worth considering additional measures like a smart home system that can detect falls or voice-activated emergency services.
