EC Absence is unbelieveable

To me, it is absolutely unbelievable that no one has made licensed EC Horror Hosts figures or kits or statues. I mean, we all love them. They are cultural phenomena, and aside from a set of high end book ends and some statues from 30+ years ago....there's nothing readily accessible except Trick or Treat Studios Masks. Why hasn't any one done Mego style, retro style or even 1/6 figures or mini busts or something? Its really mind boggling and baffling to me.

Tweeterhead cancelled their proposed line of statues, despite having the prototypes sculpted and on display. Someone should make something affordable. I am sure most folks might purchase a $25-$50 item who wouldn't necessarily devote $200 to each character. Missed opportunity. These characters are part of  comic book and horror history. Heck, even just national Americana.

I'd really love a plastic model kit based on one of the covers.  There is so much potential here that it is making me drool, lol.
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity...

That's a great idea.  Masks, models, action figures, statues.  Something for everyone!

Does anyone know who has the copyrights now? Dark horse is the most recent company to reprint the comics (that I'm aware of), but does that include the rights to the Old Witch, etc.? Who licensed the Cryptkeeper when the HBO series was going strong?  Whoever has the rights should be made aware that folks (including me) would be interested in a line of models, statues or what have you-

Doh!

My Vault Keeper mask is copyrighted "William M. Gaines Agent, Inc." I'd welcome some figures of these guys!

John Pertwee

Brentzdolz on Facebook is doing a run on these guys. I wonder if he will get to the EC ones.

Those are the Warren hosts. Creepy and Eerie. Undoubtedly inspired by EC, but EC is Cryptkeeper, Vault Keeper and Old Witch. I have tried to get everyone I have slung paint for who is in the biz to take a chance on them, and no one wants to take a bite at the apple.

Apparently someone else is of the same demented demeanor as myself. AT FREAKING LAST!!!!!!!!

Whoa. Thanks for the tip -- ordered! Pricey, but much pricier in the future once the $40 discount expires.

These will go nicely with my TOTS horror ornaments.

MonsterBaker666

Not too expensive if pre-ordered.  TOTS ornaments are $20-$25, BUT they're only ornaments.  These can be used as Christmas ornaments, and for the rest of the year they can be displayed as busts.  So well worth the price

Don't know what others are selling them for, but Retro-A-Go-Go has them for $90 preorder.

Tax and shipping to California put me at $106 total. Still, they look really cool!
