Sir Masksalot

For anyone who ever thought this 1966 cover ghoul would make for a
great mask, the Hollywood Halloween Company must've received your
sympathetic vibrations and made it happen some three decades later >

It was catalogued as a 3/4 headfit (Topstone-style) in two different
finishes >

I foolishly passed up several golden opportunities to score a copy
over the years. By the time it had seemingly vanished from all the
usual sources, I wanted one desperately!

When a Spectre  mask finally turned up for sale at a recent
convention, no force on earth or beyond could've stopped me
from claiming it >

But even that wasn't enough! The artist who actually sculpted it
for HHC later agreed to refinish it for me. I gave him "carte blanche"
as to the look. Now you might almost imagine it as a pop-up ghoul
at a hardcore version of Disney's Haunted Mansion. Hah, we should be so lucky!
